UPCOMING WORKSHOPS
Welcome to THE HOLLOW BONE for workshops on Shamanic Studies!
The majority of these classes are taught in-person at locations in SW Wisconsin. I rarely offer virtual classes, however, occasionally I list the virtual classes of some of my colleagues in my newsletter.
Teaching is a passion of mine! Having taught various workshops for over 30 years, I have come to understand what creates an ideal learning environment and provides students with the best experience and growth. These are the qualities I try to bring to my workshops:
- In-person, hands-on practices, which enhances the learning experience, so the student can embody the knowledge
- Detailed, cross-cultural information and teachings
- Create a strong energetic container, so the class atmosphere is calm and grounded
- Keep classes small (12 or fewer people) this allows time for more questions, and attention to student needs
- Students are vetted for their emotional maturity, stability, and ability interact with others in healthy ways
- Authenticity, compassion. By holding space in the circle for one another, students feel safe, supported, and seen
As a teacher, I prefer the quality, depth, and intimacy of smaller classes. Because of this, I have become less interested in teaching large classes, and aggressively marketing of my work… What is interesting is that by not overtly promoting myself, the quality of my students (and therefore classes) has improved dramatically! Many students find me through recommendations from friends!
Starting in 2026, I will only be posting information about upcoming workshops in my newsletter. If you are interested in studying with me, I encourage you to consider signing up for my newsletter, as all my most up-to-date workshop information will be listed there.
My newsletter generally comes out once a month. If after reading through a newsletter you decide you are not interested in these classes, it is easy to unsubscribe. I never share my email list with others, so you can count on privacy. This newsletter-only format, allows me more flexibility for updating and adding classes. It also provides more exclusivity.

There are a number of popular classes that I repeatedly teach. I am listing them below. If I have enough inquiries for a class that is not scheduled, I will add it to my calendar. This allows me to be responsive to what the community wants to learn. I am also open to suggestions of new classes and will create a class. New classes are generally only listed in my newsletter.

On occasion, I have offered a class that is exclusive to a group of people. This could be like-minded friends who are on a spiritual path together, and prefer their own private circle. It could also be a group of therapists wanting to study a healing practice like Soul Retrieval, and want the teachings to include psychological perspectives. Even a group of trained Death Doulas, who want to integrate Psychopomp into their practices. I enjoy these teaching opportunities and welcome inquiries. I can adapt a class based on what a particular group is seeking. Generally, I need a minimum of 6 people to schedule a class. Please contact me if this interests you.
