Gifts of the Sacred Directions

Tools for Creating Sacred Space and a personal Medicine Wheel

Facilitated by Ana Larramendi
This is a two-day, in person class, from 9:30am to 5:30pm each day. Includes Lunch

Prerequisites: Ability to do shamanic journeying and receive information from spirit allies

One of the more important skills in shamanic work is the ability to create and set Sacred Space.

This is the energetic container within which Healing and Ceremonies can be done safely. In most shamanic traditions, this involves the invocation of the sacred directions. Rather than following a rote script, this class will teach you to create your own powerful, and personal, invocations.

Cross culturally, there are a number Indigenous Archetypes related to the Cardinal Directions. For example, The Medicine Wheel, sometimes known as the Sacred Hoop, has been used by generations of various Native American tribes for health and healing. It embodies the Four Directions, as well as Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit Tree (or Center)—all of which symbolize spiritual qualities and the cycles of life. This two-day class is an opportunity to familiarize yourself with the symbolism of the Sacred Directions. Through shamanic journeys and exploration, you will build a personal medicine wheel, from which you can create your own way to honor and call the directions for ceremonies. Tools of this class include:

  • Archetypes of the East, South, West, North, Mother Earth, Father Sky, and all Our Relations
  • Elements, animals, and symbols of each direction
  • Create a personal Medicine Wheel
  • Learn to call the directions and create sacred space in a powerful way
  • How to adapt creating sacred space for different types of ceremonies

CLASS SIZE LIMITED TO 10 PEOPLE.
